A lot of wisdom in that short quote.

Plans are a necessary starting point for any project.

And when it comes to wardrobe - planning is essential, especially since we coordinate around seasons and situations.

But plans and projections alone won’t get us to where we want to go.

We learn what’s next by making a start —by taking that first step.

We build with our experience, not our plans.

And by building on our experience we become experts.

That’s the main reason older guys tend to dress better as they’ve explored, figured out what works best for them, and did more of that.

Simply put - we learn by doing.
